Temple Square Christmas Lights

CHRISTMAS TIME AT SALT LAKE TEMPLE!!!

Jackson and Carson actually both looking at me :) Miracle!! The boys and I have the opportunity to go downtown and look at some of the lights at temple square, we had dinner with Rick's mom and headed over to see them. It was fun for the boys to see all the lights. They always talk about the Salt Lake Temple where mom and dad got married and it was so fun to walk around the temple and look at the lights. We also watched the nativity scene, it is so beautiful. Here are a couple of the pictures :)

Me and the boys....

Carson wanted to know when baby Jesus was coming out so he could hold him. The innocence and purity of children.

Christmas Tress, Santa and REAL Raindeer :)

I believe if you are going to have a Christmas tree it better be real. Nothing better then having a real Christmas tree in your home. So we go to the best tree lot in Salt Lake Valley it is on 90th South and State street. It has very nice trees and most importantly it has Santa and real raindeer. This makes the whole Christmas tree and decoration complete when you get to see Santa and his raindeer while getting your tree, plus there is not a super long line like at the mall. The Santa is so go there unlike the mall where you get up take a picture and move on this Santa plays games with you and spends a lot time with the kids. While we were there waiting for our tree to load up Santa had the kids take small tree branches and make antlers out of them. He said let's play raindeer games. Very cute and fun for the kids. Here are some pictures of the boys and Santa :) Santa and the boys interacting. He was very fun with the boys :)
Jackson with his antlers getting ready to play raindeer games with Santa and Carson :)
Carson playing raindeer games with Santa and Jackson!

Here are the real raindeer....

SNOW SNOW....

Everyday Carson ask me when is it going to snow so that he can go out and play in it. He has big dreams of sledding and making snowmen however we have yet to have a snow this year that will allow us to do those fun things however this will not stop the boys from enjoying what little snow they have. Both Jackson and Carson both think they should wear shorts and sandels everyday no matter how cold it is. I figure at some point they will not like it and change not a battle that is worth fighting for me. Here they are outside dancing in the what little snow we have and of course eating it :)

LAME - O

I have totally been horrible at posted on this BLOG.... I still have not yet figure out how to manage it all. Most days I just want to give up but something keeps me going. But we still manage to live and enjoy life the best we can. My boys are growing up so big and are so much fun. Here are a couple of pictures of them just being themselves. Always playing and wanting to be together. It is amazing how close they are...even we Carson is mad at Jackson for being mean to him and I get mad at Jackson then Carson will yell at me and tell me to be nice to his brother. I guess it works like this, they are the only ones that can be mean to each other or yell at each other. I don't think I have to worry about them taking care of each other in school. Here are my cute little batmans.!!

Fall Day at the Zoo

On my first day off during the week I decided to do something fun with the boys...so I went to the zoo. Our buddies Bryton and Alisha joined us. It was the perfect to go the weather was nice and all the animals were out. Hogle Zoo has a cute little baby elephant, who ever thought that a baby that was born weighing over 250 POUNDS would be cute. She is super playful and cute to watch her be next to her mommy. It was a fun day!

We're Alive!!!

Yes, we are alive and well....sorry I have been a ablogger slacker my life has been temporarily busy and crazy but I have finally gotten in a good swing of it now. So hopefully I will do better at blogging...we have a lot of exciting things happening at our house, we went to the circus to get us ready to celebrate Carson's 3rd Birthday party which was a 3 ring circus...it was pretty fun to have all the little neighbor kids over for his birthday. We even gotten to see some of our friends who we don't see as often as we would like, Thanks Noah for coming ... you are the funniest kid I know. At his party we had a tight rope, pin the nose on the clown and even a mucsle man contest. And of course we couldnt' have a circus without some cotton candy. His party was a huge success even though all the treats I ordered didnt' show up until after the party. In the mist of the birthday celebrations I started a new evening job however training was every day from 11:30-8 which was totally exahusting me. I must tell you how blessed I am to have some friends that were willing to help me out and take my kids, Thank you so much Alisha I really couldn't have done it without you, I forever owe you. Kristin I appreciate your willingness to take them even when you were probably super tired, and Kelly and Heather my boys had a blast playing with your kids. I really do appreciate you all...

....So I must say more about this job before I move on. I wanted to get a job to give my brain some challenge and growth, so Rick supported me in find a job that would be part time that would allow me to do that as well as be there for my kids. So I was looking for more a part time job maybe 20 hours a week however, I stumbled upon this one and it was been such a blessing. I am an underwriter for Discover Personal loans. It takes a lot of brain work and some days is so much that it is physically exhuasting. It pays really well and has killer benefits, however I have to work from 3-9 each day which was more then I wanted but not bad since Rick gets off work by 4. So in the mist of getting a job I found out that we are PREGNANT! We are expecting our third child, on Mother's day...my dr changed the due date to saturday so he has a little more ley way since I have c-sections.

My boys are super excited and can't wait for this little baby to come into our home. I am 12 weeks along and have been soo stinkin sick. Never felt like this before. I take a super nausea pill. With my boys I throw up once a day and then was fine. I worked full time while pregnant with my boys so this should be a breeze only working 30 hours. Plus I think it is great for Rick to spend time with the boys. We are excited to be adding to our family.

Life is good, we are truly blessed!!

Jackson's 1st Day of Preschool

Jackson is starting his 2nd year of preschool this year. He is very excited about it. I decided to put him at Woodstock Elementary which will be his Elementary he will attend if we still live in the area. This preschool is more structured and is 4 days a week for 3 hours a day. Although I loved him at Cottonwood High and the teacher was fabulous I just wanted him to have a little more challenge and structure. He loves to learn and is a very smart child so this will be good way to get him ready for kindergarten. He goes M-Thr. from 8:50-11:50 and have been enjoying himself. However, this has been very hard on Carson who loves his older brother and cried hard after we dropped him off. He wants to go to preschool too. I think it will be good to spend some one on one time with Carson. I always feel like the 2 child and so on gets lost in the shuffle so I make an effort to give them each individual time.

Let the Season Begin!! Go Utes!

We are big Utah fans!! We have season tickets and love to go to the games. Our boys go with us and enjoy sitting in the pirate section. Last year Carson got a jersey for his birthday and by the time Jackson wanted one they were all sold out so we made sure we got one this year. It turned out fun that this year the number is 4 (Jackson's age) It is Matt Asiata and Rick taught Jackson how to tackled and run through people like Asiata does. Jackson now calls anything red his Asiata whatever..for example he has a red backpack and he is like I need my Asiata backpack Mom. Pretty cute. Carson turns 3 this year :) Here are the boys trying to run to catch up with dad who no matter how early we are is in a hurry to get there.
Trying so hard to catch up with Dad! Wait for us!!

We caught up :)

Here is our cute little family at the game this is in the 4th quarter so we are all a little tired :) We love it that we have season tickets right next to our cousins...Kristin and Paul and little Ava :) (Plus Carson had to join in the picture with a popcorn bucket on his head)

Bruhth-er

Brother: a male sibling, offspring from the same parents. I was thinking a lot about my boys and them being a brother to each other. I looked up the defination and by no way does it describe the relationship that Jackson and Carson have with each other. From the day that Carson was born Jackson became a brother but not only that but a friend, amgio, buddy, comrade, soul mate, backer, chum, ally, protector, defender, comforter, playmate, teacher to Carson. My boys are so good to each other. There is no doubt that they would do ANYTHING for each other. When one is hurt or sad the other one quickly comforts the other. When one doesn't have what he wants the other gives up what they have. They are always making sure that each other is taken care of. They are the best buddies in the world. In my house you will find a lot of doubles of all toys because no matter what the other wants to be doing exactly what the other is doing. I feel so blessed to have two boys that love to play with each other and share so well. Carson and Jackson are a little less then 18 months apart and while I look at others who have them that close and question what I was thinking at the time I would never change it in the world. I guess I am glad I wasn't thinking. What prompted this blog was yesterday during nap they wanted to sleep together and I said no because they don't fall asleep very well that way. Becuse usually the start making each other laugh and I mean laugh really hard. But in the middle of their nap Carson got up and went to the bathroom and I thought he went back to his bed however when I went and check on them he was in the bed with Jackson just wanting to be close to his best friend. I feel so blessed to have two cute sweet boys who love each other so much :)

Fire Hose Fun!!

On August 12th we went to the Muarry baseball field where the Muarry firefighters came and hooked up their truck to the hydrant and sprayed all the kids. At first Carson was very hesitant and did not want to go by it but after a few times of me running through it with them they thought it was pretty cool and they can't wait until they do it again.

Here they are all wet and excited to be up close to a fire truck! What a great day :)

UBIC Fun!!

On August 1, 2009 we went out to Roosevelt to attend Rick's 10 class reunion. It was kind of a bummer that most of his high school buddies did not attend but we still had fun. In the evening we attended a big concert in their local park. We were able to enjoy the evening with some of our family. Our kids danced around and had fun. Here are some cute pictures of them. Oh yeah by the way the concert was Eddie Money!! Big names for a big city :)

Here are some pictures that we took of our family before the reunion. We don't have many with the 4 of us. Enjoy :)

Here is our cute little picture of our family :) One of the very few of jus Rick and I.

Bull Riding

I bet that most of you didn't know that we have a real live bull that lives at our house. My boys have become quite the rodeo lovers and anything that goes with it. We act out the rodeo with our many animal toys. Jackson and Carson have about 15 or more horses 8 or more bulls and lots of baby animals, the have many equipments, tractors, horse trailer, cattle trailers, big rigs, flat beds. They even have gates and shoots. But one love they have always had is pretending to ride a bull themselves. Daddy is always been a good sport and being the bull but as they have gotten bigger so has the production of the bull riding. When he is not home they ride their radio flyer rocking horse, where the buck themselves off of it. We now have to get dressed up in our chaps, vest and hats to ride, Dad puts on a rope for them to hold on to. After they get bucked off they must run fast to the fence and jump up so that the bull doesn't get them. Here is a quick video of the news production I hope that it turns out and hopes that Rick doesn't kill me for posting it.

Jeepin'

Here comes trouble...Watch out drivers..in about 12-14 years :) Here is what you are up against!

I am sure that most of you have heard about the 7 year boy from Weber County, Utah that took his parents car for a joyride on a Sunday morning because he didn't want to attend church. As I was watching that I began to have fears that would be my child and could possible be my fault for giving him toys that could teach him how to drive.
Jackson who is now 4 received a Power Wheels Jeep for his 2nd birthday. Looking back I am wondering what I was thinking getting him a jeep when he was so little but he loved it and was able to drive it. He has become the best little driver I have ever seen...Here he is on his 2nd birthday with Carson who is only 6 months at the time.
Since then he has now mastered the skill of driving..he can back around corners, park, maneuver he jeep in tight places all in matter of less than 2 years. Carson who is now 2 1/2 has since figured out how to drive the jeep and has claimed it as his since Jackson has been riding his two wheeler.

But last night there was two little girls that are 2 years old that received jeeps recently and they were out in the neighborhood driving so this meant my boys had to get theirs out. So we had a little Jeep party. It was quite cute. Here are some pictures...

Here are the three Jeeps :) Cruising the neighborhood!

Jackson and Trinity (both share the same birthday April 11th just 2 years apart)
Carson and Olivia..he wanted to drive her jeep :) They took the ladies on a little ride..Carson and Olivia were having a good time until Carson tried to put his arm around her...she wanted nothing of that so she tried to bolt out of the jeep without him stopping..I laughed and thought he goes life for boys and girls :)

Days of '47 Fun

We had a fun filled week...it all started on Wednesday night when we were able to go the Rodeo with Grandma 'Jean. My boys love the Rodeo and could not take their eyes off of it the entire time...Carson loved to go over to the where they took the calves after then were finish using them. He would stand there is just watch :) Jackson sat with Grandma and talked all about Rodeo things :) Jackson sure has a love of rodeo's just like Grandma.

The next day we picked up Aunt Kirsten from the airport and went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house with her and our cousins Emily and Paige..it was super hot so we did not take many pictures. But here is a cute one of Jackson and his cousin Emily.

On Friday which is the official 24th of July we got up early and went and had breakfast with Grandma LaJean and headed over to watch the parade which was a first for me and my kids. We got front row seats and the kids had a blast. After the parade we catch up with our favorite cousins....Emily and Paige and went and saw the Kennecott Copper Mine which was also a first for all of us. It was really neat and amazing how deep they are in the earth. My boys particularly loved to watch the earth movers. We had to take a picture next to the huge tires that are on the trucks. It was amazing that the workers had to use a huge latter to get into the trucks.

After visiting the copper mine we came home so that I could start to prepare all the food for Aunt Jeana's baby shower. I hurried and whipped out a cake, brownies all before Rick came home and we decided to go and watch the fireworks at the Bee's game (even though the official game was cancelled) It was a fun night with a million people it seemed. We watch the fireworks with Uncle Brian, Aunt Amanda, Emily, Paige, Aunt Kirsten. Carson did not like them...the noise is really hard on his ears. Even though he has tubes for over a year now his ears still give him some trouble. I hope that he outgrows it at some point. So I had to lay with him and cover his ears while he watched. The fireworks lasted a long time. The boys were so tired by the end of the day, as was I...I could no longer remember what day it was. I still had to come home, go to the store and finish the things for Jeana's shower. I didn't finish until after 1 am and feeling very guilty for not exercising and having a huge amount of stress I decided that exercise was my best bet so I went to the gym and did cardio for 45 mins. I came home and fell asleep about 2:30am just to awake a 6:30am. The shower went well...After the shower I came home and went and celebrated my husband and I's 6th wedding anniversary. I am not sure what we were thinking of getting married over a holiday weekend.
I am so lucky to have such a great husband and best friend to share my crazy but fun life with. So that is my life over a short weekend...and now I just want to do nothing for awhile..but can't this weekend we are going out of town for Rick's 10 year class reunion. Crazy!!

Can we buy one?

I went to Costco to pick up some pictures this afternoon with my boys and we were walking through the clothes and Jackson said to me, "Mom can we buy a new sister?" I replied that we don't buy babies at the store and then he thought about it for a minute and said, "Where did we come from?" I said from Mommy's tummy. "Well, we need a new sister in mommy's tummy." About 10 minutes later he looked at me and said, "Mom, where did you come from then? If I came from your tummy where did you come from?" I said, Grandma Kathy...Ahh the innocence of children. And NOOOOOOO this is no annoucement. Just loving the two boys I have :)

Mr. Dare Devil Jackson

Jackson has become quite the risk taker between learning to ride his bike without training wheels (early April) to now going over bumps to get air on his bike. It is quite crazy to watch him grow up and become a little boy now....he loves to ride his bike and spend anytime outside that he can.

Jackson's newiest thing that he loves to do is jump off the diving board at the pool. This is with a life jacket but I am sure in no time he will be doing it without one. I just get nervous with him not wearing one. He will jump and jump over and over until I have to make him stop. He loves to swim and has become quite the little fish.

Carson and his Jamies :)

Carson on most days refuses to wear anything but his pajamas...I usually make him change while we go out in the morning but without fail he comes home and wants them back on for his nap. I do not understand his desire to wear his pajamas....not only his pajamas but his baseball pajamas that are completely worn out and embarrassing at sometimes. But oh well they are only little once...and hopefully soon his out grows these :) I will eventually have to hide these. Also this little dog is best friend. Schnitzel is the dogs name and he goes every where with us. We have to make sure that he is in bed with him at night and covered as well as give him a good night kiss. He also tells everyone that Schnitzel is a good dog and hat he doesn't bite and that he just likes to be petted on his head. Very cute :)

Alright here I go...I am going to try and do this whole blog thing. I hope that it will help me keep a better record of the funny things that my kids do and say...I can't believe how fast my boys are growing up and how much fun we have together.

This summer we have been keeping busy...going to the pool, spending time in Oregon with my family and also going to the Neola Rodeo which my boys love. They were pretty tramtized that they did not catch a bunny. I was okay with it though what would I do with a bunny in Salt Lake City? Our cousin talked me into doing the Mother's Pig Chase with her...I almost had the pig I had the head of it but this lady (who wins every year) pull it and layed flat on the pig....but don't worry I will be ready next year now that I know what to do.
I will try to be better at updating this because I love to read everyone else's blog to see how they are doing.
